ENGLAND prop Joe Marler could be facing retrospective action after footage has emerged of him grabbing the groin of Welsh captain Alun Wyn Jones during the weekends five nations match at the weekend. The bizarre moment went unnoticed by officials at the time and Jones admitted he hadn’t been sure how to react so let it pass. England went on to win the game by 33-30, and while Wales had eaten into what had been a 17 point lead with five minutes to go it always looked a bridge too far. Scotland inflicted France’s first defeat of the campaign, a 28-17 win at Murrayfield, while the Italy -Ireland game was suspended due to coronavirus fears. England have now edged ahead of France on goal difference, but it is unclear when or even if the tournament will be completed due to the impact of the virus on the event.
