Spain has woken up this morning to utter chaos and anger amongst the UK government’s decision to make a total ban against travel to SPAIN as they advised against all non-essential travel, notwithstanding the safe and extremely low rates of the coronavirus infections in the Balearic Islands, Canaries and regions such as Alicante and the Costa Blanca on the mainland.
Looking at the international flight arrivals today it is expected to see thousands of people arrive into the tourist hotspot areas across the coast of Spain this week. Since travel restrictions were lifted for certain counties and also that the UK government had removed the 14 day quarantine period from 6 July, tourism seems to of been kicked off with flights and travellers heading for the Spanish sunshine.

All travelers to Spain are required to complete a public health form online before the date of travel. The health questions can only be answered 48 hours before the planned arrival date and is compulsory for all passengers originating from any airport or port located outside of Spanish territory, this is a new law published on 01 July.
Spain is expected to be included in the safe travel corridors that will remove the current 14 Day Blanket restriction on non-essential overseas travel.
Fantastic news for the travel industry as certain countries that include Spain, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Finland, Belgium, Turkey, Germany and Norway. Holidaymakers will be allowed to travel without having to spend 14 days in quarantine when they return. Portugal and Sweden are not expected to be included in the list of travel corridors due to be published by the UK government during the next week.
